Weekend Notes: St. Patrick’s Day Edition

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! For me, this holiday always feels like the unofficial start of spring. The air shifts just enough to make you think warmer days are on the way, even if you’re still layering up. Do you have big weekend plans? We didn’t, so on a whim we decided to pack up and head to our lake house. The agenda? A little basketball (Nate’s been playing and loving it) and a very glamorous outing to Dick’s Sporting Goods. Keith has his eye on some Yeti gear, so prepare for an afternoon that’s equal parts riveting and hilarious.

Family Adventures Ahead

On a bigger note, I’ve been deep in planning mode for something Disney-related. With Nate at four and Sasha almost eight, it feels like the perfect time for a trip. For months I went back and forth: do we try a Disney Cruise? Everyone I know who’s been absolutely raves about it. But in the end, we decided May will be all about Disney and Universal. Nate is fully in his Harry Potter era, so the idea of skipping Hogwarts just didn’t sit right.

Honestly, I didn’t expect to be this excited. Of course the kids are going to love it, but Keith and I are secretly just as pumped. Theme parks bring out the big kid in both of us, and I cannot wait to see everything through their eyes. I booked with my friend Angie, who runs Bright Lights Travel and is a Disney-planning pro. She’s handling every detail (minus flights), and it feels so good to know we’re in capable hands.

The cruise might happen next year—but for now, wands and roller coasters await.

Style Notes

Spring always nudges me to freshen up my wardrobe, and Mango’s new outerwear edit is stunning. I’ve been hunting for a classic trench coat, so I ordered two styles to try on. Fingers crossed one becomes “the one.”

While browsing, I stumbled across this jumpsuit that I know will be a fast favorite. Simple, flattering, and versatile—everything I want in an easy spring piece.

On the “lust list” front: I’ve been obsessing over these Khaite earrings. They’re gorgeous, timeless, and also painfully overpriced. I stalk The RealReal daily in hopes of finding them secondhand, but for now I ordered a more affordable pair that scratches the itch. We’ll see how they compare.

And then there are the Manolo sandals. I tried them on recently and they’re perfection—minimal without being too stark, comfortable despite a proper heel, and flattering with almost everything. They’re definitely a splurge, but one I know I’ll actually wear.

Home & Comfort

Brooklinen’s annual Sleep Week sale is happening right now, and everything is 20% off. We swear by their Luxe Sateen bedding—it’s soft, cool, and washes beautifully. I also ordered the Super-Plush Turkish towels, which are huge and make you feel like you’re stepping out of a spa. Honestly, their return policy makes it impossible to go wrong.

Speaking of towels, I came across a piece on how to properly care for them—something I thought I knew but apparently didn’t. File under: small habits that make everyday life feel a little more elevated.
